Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Raylynne Morency and Joy Sullivan Lead Countryside Christian to Victory

It's playoff time, and Countryside Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 39-23 win over the Redeemer Christian Lions on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 50-27 win last Monday.

Countryside Christian was led to victory by Joy Sullivan and Raylynne Morency. Sullivan posted 12 points, while Morency put up ten points. That's the most points Morency has posted since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Redeemer Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Selena Martin earned 13 points.

Countryside Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Redeemer Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Countryside Christian has already played their next game, a 71-40 defeat against Seven Rivers Christian on the 8th. Redeemer Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
