Volleyball Recap: Clifton-Clyde's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Clifton-Clyde waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Blue Valley Rams by a score of 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win on Saturday.

While Clifton-Clyde won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24.

Calyn Baker paced Clifton-Clyde's offense, picking up nine kills. Baker got some help from Sevy Wurtz and her eight assists. Sydney Huncovsky controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Clifton-Clyde's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Blue Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Clifton-Clyde has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hanover on the 2nd. As for Blue Valley, they will take on Wabaunsee at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
