Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem lost against Amite County back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Salem Wildcats took a 46-29 bruising from the Amite County Trojans. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Salem still got an impressive performance from Kira Bridges, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Bridges is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last ten games she's played.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Amite County, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will take on Enterprise in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Amite County and Wesson will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
