North Douglas is 8-2 against Lowell since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. North Douglas will look to defend their home field against Lowell at 4:30 p.m. North Douglas will be strutting in after a victory while Lowell will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, North Douglas made easy work of Umpqua Valley Christian and carried off a 13-3 win. North Douglas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lowell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Monroe, falling 14-5.

Marley Plahn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and ten unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Madison Thurman made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.

North Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Lowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
