It was a good run, but Burnet unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 62-50 to the Jarrell Cougars. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 46-43.

It was another big night for Aniya Taylor, who went 9 of 22 on her way to 36 points and five rebounds for Jarrell. The game was Taylor's 17th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Erica Taylor, who posted nine points.

Burnet's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-15. As for Jarrell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.

Burnet and Jarrell should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Burnet will take on Lampasas at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 473 places (377 vs. 850). Burnet is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Similarly, Jarrell (ranked 254th) will meet Marble Falls (ranked 1080th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
