Independence entered their tilt with Springville on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Orioles get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Independence, who have now won 12 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Independence pushed their record up to 15-2-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those nine games. As for Springville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-2.

Independence didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mt. Vernon on the 6th. As for Springville, they will take on Vinton-Shellsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
