Softball Preview: Sullivan County Griffins vs. Millville Quakers
Sullivan County and Millville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Griffins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Quakers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sullivan County has six straight wins, Millville has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Sullivan County made easy work of Columbia Montour Vo-Tech and carried off a 25-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won eight games by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Emilia Viveiros made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Viveiros was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Miley Dickinson was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with seven RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Kayla Fowler was another key player, going 4-for-5 with five runs and two RBI.
