Basketball Recap: Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Skates Past St. Michael the Archangel with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association). They blew past the St. Michael the Archangel Warriors 63-23 on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their 20-point performance the match before.

When it comes to explaining why St. Michael the Archangel lost, don't look at Janaye Martinez. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
