Preview: Moses Brown Quakers vs. West Warwick Wizards

The Moses Brown Quakers will head out on the road to face off against the West Warwick Wizards at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Moses Brown faced Smithfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Moses Brown put the hurt on Smithfield with a sharp 58-33 victory. 58 seems to be a good number for Moses Brown as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Moses Brown found their leader in underclassman Lauren Bousquet, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Bousquet set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelynn Perez, who scored ten points along with seven steals.

Meanwhile, West Warwick entered their tilt with Mt. Hope with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Warwick took down Mt. Hope 50-35 on Wednesday.

Moses Brown pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.38 points. As for West Warwick, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Moses Brown have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 38.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like West Warwick struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 21.4 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Moses Brown came up short against West Warwick in their previous matchup back in February, falling 57-46. Can Moses Brown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
