Basketball Recap: Wahpeton Takes a Loss

Wahpeton was the 65-42 winner over Hillsboro/Central Valley when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wahpeton Huskies took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Huskies still had to take the loss.

Wahpeton now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hillsboro/Central Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Wahpeton will be playing at home against Beulah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Beulah will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Wahpeton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillsboro/Central Valley, they will face off against Oak Grove Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillsboro/Central Valley is facing Oak Grove Lutheran at the right time seeing as Oak Grove Lutheran is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
