Baseball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Shelbyville Golden Bears, falling 13-4. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Golden Bears: they've now lost three in a row.

Kash Marsh made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Franklin County: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Shelbyville, their record is now 10-3.
