Softball Recap: First Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hope Christian Academy

There's no place like home for First Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Hope Christian Academy on Monday by a score of 15-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring effort was just what First Christian needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Victoria Loehr made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Loehr was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corie Wheeler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Arabella Blake, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

The victory got First Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Hope Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: First Christian beat Hope Christian Academy by a score of 21-6 on Thursday.
