Volleyball Recap: San Mateo Takes a Loss

San Mateo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Carlmont Scots, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While San Mateo was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Carlmont's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

San Mateo now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Carlmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-15 record this season.

San Mateo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carlmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Los Altos at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
