Softball Game Preview: USC-MAE Trojans vs. Downtown Magnets Suns

The USC-MAE Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Downtown Magnets Suns at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (USC-MAE has five straight victories, Downtown Magnets has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, it was close, but USC-MAE sidestepped Central City Value for a 13-12 win. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Downtown Magnets lost 35-1 to Orthopaedic on Monday.

USC-MAE's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Downtown Magnets, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went USC-MAE's way against Downtown Magnets in their previous meeting on April 4th, as USC-MAE made off with a 26-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
