Softball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

The Monticello Buckaroo lost 19-2 to the Monument Valley Mustangs on Wednesday. The Buckaroo have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Barry, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Barry has hit this season.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Monument Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will face off against Wayne at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monument Valley, they will challenge Kingman at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
