Preview: Osmond vs. Wynot
Osmond have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Wynot at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Osmond and Wynot will really light up the scoreboard.
Osmond had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor with a 62-36 margin. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-20.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 36-80, which was the final score in Wynot's tilt against St. Francis last Friday. Wynot were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 20-46.
Osmond's win lifted them to 1-0 while Wynot's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. In their win, Osmond relied heavily on senior Anthony Heiman, who picked up 138 yards on the ground and threw 5 TDs; a key strategy for Wynot will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
