Baseball Game Preview: Campbell vs. Bishop Brady Giants

Campbell will face off against the Bishop Brady Giants at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Campbell 4, Bishop Brady 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Six must be Campbell's lucky number: they beat Raymond with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. Campbell beat Raymond by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-1. The victory continues a trend for Campbell in their matchups with Raymond: they've now won eight in a row.

Braydon White was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Curtis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Bishop Brady's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 13-4 to Conant.

Campbell pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Brady, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.
