Baseball Recap: Immokalee Comes Up Short

After flying high against Donahue Catholic last Monday, Immokalee came back down to earth. The Indians took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clewiston Tigers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Immokalee's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Clewiston, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immokalee will take on Babcock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clewiston, they will challenge Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.84 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
