Basketball Recap: Butler Falls Short of Mountain Lakes in the Playoffs

Butler and Mountain Lakes squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Butler had to settle for second. They were dealt a 59-22 defeat at the hands of the Mountain Lakes Lakers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Lakers are ranked 51st).

Butler has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Mountain Lakes, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mountain Lakes has already played their next game (against Cresskill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
