Softball Recap: Cedarburg Drops Season-High Score on Nicolet

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedarburg). They blew past the Nicolet Knights 19-3 on Monday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Cedarburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Nicolet, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cedarburg will square off against rival West Bend West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nicolet is set to take on their familiar foe West Bend East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
