Basketball Recap: Early County's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

If Early County was riding high fresh off their 63-35 takedown of Miller County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Early County Bobcats fell 63-54 to the Terrell County Greenwave on Wednesday. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greenwave earlier this season, when they won 53-44.

Leading Terrell County to victory were Michael Carter and Cordarius Perry. Carter posted 25 points, while Perry had 23 points. Perry's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Perry, who scored seven points.

With the loss, Early County broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8. As for Terrell County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Early County Bobcats duke it out with the Bainbridge Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Terrell County, they and Mitchell County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played.
