Preview: Paola Panthers vs. Basehor-Linwood Bobcats
The Paola Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Paola started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Eudora. They fell 28-21 to the Cardinals on Friday.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Basehor-Linwood's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 48-21 loss at the hands of De Soto. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Basehor-Linwood was blown out by De Soto in the second.
Despite the loss, Basehor-Linwood got a solid performance out of Brady Vandonge, who threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns.
Paola's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Basehor-Linwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Paola might still be hurting after the 28-7 loss they got from Basehor-Linwood when the teams last played back in November of 2018. Can Paola avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
