Fritz Phillips posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.
