Baseball Recap: Fletcher Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Fletcher took on Verden on Saturday. The Wildcats walked away with a 5-1 win over the Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 on Monday.

Rayce Stoll was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Kindyn Camerena was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Fletcher has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Verden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Fletcher will host Ninnekah at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Verden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
