Softball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Comes Up Short

Metro-East Lutheran fell victim to Gillespie and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Miners. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Miners: they've now lost five in a row.

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gillespie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metro-East Lutheran will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marissa/Coulterville at 4:30 p.m. on April 14. As for Gillespie, they will head out to square off against Triad at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gillespie will need to watch out since Triad has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
