Baseball Game Preview: Battle Creek Grizzlies vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers

For the second straight game, Battle Creek will face off against Mt. Pleasant. The Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Battle Creek headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Mt. Pleasant let them put that streak behind them. The Grizzlies blew past the Tigers 13-5 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Grizzlies as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Bennett Hunter was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brody Swoish, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Battle Creek's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-11. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
