Firestone is still undefeated this season after their contest against St. Vincent-St. Mary on Saturday, but St. Vincent-St. Mary came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Falcons came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Fighting Irish. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Elijah Myers paced Firestone's offense, picking up 28 kills. Myers got some help from Tala Paing and his 41 assists. Myers was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Firestone's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Firestone and St. Vincent-St. Mary will both be playing St. Charles the next time they take the court. The Fighting Irish will head out to face the Cardinals at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
