Basketball Recap: Apple Valley Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Apple Valley won the last time they faced Burnsville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Apple Valley Eagles took down the Burnsville Blaze 70-56. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Blaze are ranked 181st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Apple Valley has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Burnsville, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Apple Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eastview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Burnsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
