Soccer Game Preview: Madison vs. Westbury

The Madison Marlins will take on the Westbury Huskies at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Madison's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Carnegie Vanguard out 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Marlins were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Westbury put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Waltrip. It was an even better day for Espoir Bikeyombe as he scored three goals for his team.

Westbury's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Madison took their victory against Westbury when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 4-1. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Westbury have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
