Softball Recap: Elton Comes Up Short

Elton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 22-5 to the Crowley Gent. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gent this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in February.

Elton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Crowley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Elton will square off against Oberlin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crowley, they will head out to take on Eunice at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Gent's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Btlng Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
