Soccer Game Preview: Chattanooga Christian vs. McCallie

Chattanooga Christian is 0-8 against McCallie since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Chargers will take on the Blue Tornado at 6:00 p.m. Chattanooga Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Chattanooga Christian barely beat Webb the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Friday. Give Chattanooga Christian's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Webb from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Andrew Slaton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McCallie). They blew past CSTHEA 8-0 on Thursday. The result kept McCallie happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Chattanooga Christian pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six matchups. As for McCallie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-0-3 record this season.

Chattanooga Christian came up short against McCallie in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 4-2. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
