Softball Recap: River City Takes a Loss

River City was the 9-6 winner over Wood when they last played one another back in April of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The River City Raiders fell 9-5 to the Wood Wildcats on Wednesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giana Grefaldia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

River City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Wood, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, River City and Wood will both be playing Vanden the next time they take the field. Wood will head out to face Vanden at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while River City will host them at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th.
