Basketball Game Preview: V.R. Eaton Eagles vs. Keller Indians

V.R. Eaton is 2-8 against Keller since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out to take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. V.R. Eaton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

If V.R. Eaton beats Keller with 67 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Eagles beat Timber Creek on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 67-49. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Falcons are ranked 621st).

Meanwhile, Keller was able to grind out a solid win over Timber Creek on Tuesday, taking the game 61-53.

V.R. Eaton's record is now 25-6. As for Keller, their record now sits at 14-15.

V.R. Eaton barely slipped by Keller in their previous matchup back in January, winning 52-51. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Indians' Cash Erdmann, who shot 64% from the field en route to 22 points along with seven boards and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Eagles still be able to contain Erdmann? There's only one way to find out.
