Softball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Wyalusing Valley rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Williamson Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Addison Fluck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addisyn Bly was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Treanna Nickeson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Wyalusing Valley's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Williamson, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.

Wyalusing Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Northwest Area on the 21st. Williamson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
