The Astronaut War Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Winter Springs Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Astronaut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Astronaut is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Viera just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the War Eagles have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Astronaut saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cassidy Culleny, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Ciara Vansky also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Winter Springs got the win against Lake Mary on Thursday by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Tiffany Seemann spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Wassey, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Winter Springs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Astronaut, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
