Basketball Recap: Monterey Trail Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven + How To Watch

Monterey Trail had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Juleeyan Williams did his part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 75-66 win over the Natomas Nighthawks for which the team can thank Williams, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Monterey Trail's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Baron Roseborough, who posted 16 points along with five assists and five boards. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points.

Natomas' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Harris, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Harris now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Aeron Wallace was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 18 points and five assists.

The victory got Monterey Trail back to even at 2-2. As for Natomas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Monterey Trail will take on Pleasant Valley in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Natomas, they will take on Menlo-Atherton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
