Football Recap: Redwater Comes Up Short

Redwater lost against Winnsboro back in October of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dragons were dealt a 72-7 defeat at the hands of the Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 918th, while the Raiders are ranked 165th).

Redwater's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Winnsboro, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Redwater will be playing in front of their home fans against Pewitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winnsboro, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Honey Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
