Softball Recap: Passaic County Tech Comes Up Short

Passaic County Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Passaic Valley Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat on Friday.

Passaic County Tech's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Passaic Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 18-0.

Passaic County Tech and Passaic Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Bulldogs will face off against Clifton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (104 vs. 243). Meanwhile, Passaic Valley (ranked 15th) will meet West Milford (ranked 228th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Hornets' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Highlanders have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
