Volleyball Recap: Refugio Falls to Falls City in First Game of Season

Refugio unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Falls City Beavers on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Refugio had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-18.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caylee Collins, who had four digs and three aces. Collins is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedie Wills, who had ten digs.

Looking ahead, Refugio will take on Taft at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falls City, they will take on Poth in a tournament on Thursday.
