Softball Preview: Middlesex Bluejays vs. Metuchen Bulldogs

Meanwhile, Metuchen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Monroe Township, falling 10-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Metuchen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kathryn Morano, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
The victory made it two in a row for Middlesex and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Metuchen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
