After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pisgah, Ider was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Columbia Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 16 games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Eli Hawes made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Hawes was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Axl Williams was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI. Easton Wilbanks was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.
