East Webster extends road winning streak to three

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the East Webster Wolverines ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Houlka with a 64-60 victory. The win was nothing new for East Webster as they're now sitting on three straight.

Houlka's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayes Paden, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Paden's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Neal Moore, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds.

East Webster pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Houlka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

East Webster will look to defend their home court on Monday against French Camp Academy at 7:15 p.m. French Camp Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 270th, while East Webster is ranked 71st). As for Houlka, they will head out on the road to face off against East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
