The Nation Ford Falcons will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Lancaster Bruins at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nation Ford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Nation Ford is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 85-78 to Wren on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (67), the Falcons still had to take the loss.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ben Chuttey, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Robertson, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lancaster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They really took it to Northwestern for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-49 victory. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Bruins this season.
Nation Ford better keep an eye on Jordan Watford. He was instrumental in Lancaster's win, going 11 of 17 on his way to 23 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Watford's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Brown, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points along with five assists and four steals.
Lancaster was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Lancaster's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Nation Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Nation Ford has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Lancaster struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
