Estrella Foothills gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buckeye Hawks, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won 34 games in a row dating back to last season.

Estrella Foothills took Buckeye into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 17-25, 24-26, 15-12.

Leading Estrella Foothills to victory were Giselle Wochner and Sadie Snyder. Wochner had 13 digs and six assists, while Snyder had 21 kills and 15 digs. Those six assists gave Wochner a new career-high.

Estrella Foothills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Odyssey Institute on the 29th. As for Buckeye, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Willow Canyon on the 29th.
