Estrella Foothills gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Buckeye Hawks 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won 34 matchups in a row dating back to last season.

Estrella Foothills took Buckeye into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 17-25, 24-26, 15-12.

Leading Estrella Foothills to victory were Giselle Wochner and Sadie Snyder. Wochner had 13 digs and six assists, while Snyder had 21 kills and 15 digs. Snyder is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

Estrella Foothills has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Odyssey Institute on the 29th. As for Buckeye, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Heritage Academy on the 29th.
