Softball Recap: Osawatomie Victorious

Osawatomie won the last time they faced Anderson County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans walked away with an 8-5 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Kaley Shipley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Johns, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Karlyn Crabtree was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

The victory got Osawatomie back to even at 3-3. As for Anderson County, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Osawatomie is taking a road trip to take on Baldwin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anderson County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wellsville at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
