Elkhart lost against Valparaiso back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Elkhart Lions took a hard 61-42 fall against the Valparaiso Vikings. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valparaiso to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lillian Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Chyanne Brown, who went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Elkhart now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Valparaiso, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Elkhart Lions challenge the New Prairie Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valparaiso, they will host Crown Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valparaiso is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
