Volleyball Recap: Poway Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ella Bear and Abby Kroepel

Poway had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Dana Hills Dolphins by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Despite the defeat, Poway had strong showings from Abby Kroepel, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Ella Bear, who had 17 assists and eight digs. Bear has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 23 times she's played.

Dana Hills now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Poway and Dana Hills will both be playing South the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Dolphins will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
