Volleyball Recap: Grand Junction Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Grand Junction Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grand Junction Tigers. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Grand Junction scored at least seven points in every set. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 15-7.

Grand Junction Central's offense was headlined by Tallin McCormick and Sage Siegrist, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Kaysen Reynolds and her 27 assists. Delany Nostrand controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Grand Junction Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Grand Junction, their win ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Grand Junction Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fruita Monument on the 9th. As for Grand Junction, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Rangeview on the 10th.
