Volleyball Recap: Cross County Victorious

Cross County hadn't done well against Humphrey-Lindsay recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since October 17, 2024.

Cross County found their leader in sophomore Ella Cramer, who had 23 digs and three assists. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Cramer.

Cross County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cross County will challenge North Bend Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elkhorn Valley at 7:30 p.m.
