Baseball Recap: Gulf Coast Falls to Estero in First Game of Season

Gulf Coast unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Estero Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Gulf Coast got a good showing from Nash Tuner, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Gulf Coast wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 loss against Mariner on the 13th. As for Estero, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Aubrey Rogers on the 13th.
